On 12 November 2020, the Management Board of Frontex met in an extraordinary session to discuss media allegations of so-called “pushbacks” in the context of the ongoing Rapid Border Intervention in the Eastern Mediterranean (--> separate news item). In order to investigate all aspects related to the matter, the Management Board decided to set up a sub-group to further deliberate these aspects.
