On 5 and 12 May 2018, Europol’s “Eurosearch” project, which was set up to locate and capture dangerous mafia fugitives in Europe, succeeded in the arrest of two of the most important Italian fugitives and members of the Italian Crime Syndicate COSA NOSTRA. Italian and German law enforcement authorities conducted the operations with the support of Europol.
