Frontex, together with the French Ministry of the Interior, is currently testing a website for the impact of self-registration on overall processing times and the potential of a self-serviced mobile application to further improve border control. Test participants are non-EU citizens coming to the EU for a short stay. After completion, the outcome of the tests and the website itself will be made available to the European Commission and Member States, should they wish to use this tool in the future.
