At the end of November 2020, José de la Mata Amaya took up position as new National Member for Spain at Eurojust. Before joining Eurojust, Mr de la Mata Amaya served as judge of the Central Investigative Court No 5 of the Spanish National Court. Furthermore, he was contact point for Spain in the Network of National Experts on Joint Investigation Teams (JITs).Mr de la Mata Amaya succeeds Francisco Jiménez-Villarejo who had headed the Desk since December 2012.
