From 12 March 2019 to 6 October 2024, Andreas Kumin will serve as Judge of the Court of Justice. Prior to his appointment as Judge at the Court, Mr. Kumin served as Head of the European Law Department of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs. He has also been a professor at the Institute of European Law of the University of Graz since 2014. Mr. Kumin replaces Maria Berger.

Since the beginning of March, Ramona Frendohas replaced Peter George Xuerebas Judge at the Court of Justice for the remainder of Mr. Xuereb’s term of office (12 March 2019 to 31 August 2019). Prior to joining the Court, Ms Frendo worked as a legal expert for the Maltese judiciary and administration.
