Migrant Smuggling Ring Dismantled

On 21 March 2018, a joint operation between Slovenia, Kosovo, the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), and Europol led to the arrest of 12 migrant smugglers operating in the Balkans. Over the past year, this organized criminal group smuggled 300 people to Europe, earning an estimated monthly income of €900,000.
