On 7 June 2019, Frontex and Europol signed a new joint Action Plan. The Action Plan foresees a more structured exchange of information between the two agencies, closer coordination in the fields of research into and development of new technologies (e.g., the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS)), the exchange of liaison officers, and annual meetings by executive management.
