On 28 September 2026, Eurojust and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed a Working Arrangement to strengthen their cooperation in the fight against serious cross-border crime.

The Working Arrangement provides a framework for enhanced strategic cooperation and exchange of information between Eurojust and the competent authorities of the UAE. It is intended to facilitate cooperation in areas such as drug trafficking, money laundering, fraud, property crime, and cybercrime.

The Arrangement does not provide a legal basis for the exchange of operational personal data. Such exchanges require an appropriate legal basis in accordance with the Eurojust Regulation.

The UAE is the 14th third country with which Eurojust has concluded a Working Arrangement.

The UAE is among eight countries with which the EU intends to conclude international agreements that would allow the systematic exchange of personal data with Eurojust and the secondment of Liaison Prosecutors to the Agency.
