On 11 June 2019, Europol and the New Zealand Police signed a Working Arrangement and Memorandum of Understanding with the aim of strengthening their fight against serious crime, especially online child sexual exploitation, organised motorcycle gangs, drug trafficking, and terrorism. Under the agreement, the New Zealand Police will deploy a permanent liaison officer to Europol’s headquarters in The Hague and will be able to use the Secure Information Exchange Network Application (SIENA) managed by Europol.
