Sanctions in the EU’s External Relations

Objective

This hybrid seminar will provide participants with detailed knowledge on legal aspects of restrictive measures applied by the European Union, including how they are adopted and reviewed, as well as analysing recent jurisprudence of the CJEU. 
Moreover, EU guidelines on the implementation and evaluation of restrictive measures, as well as best practice in the implementation of such restrictive measures and the latest EU legislative proposal on an organised crime sanctions regime, will be analysed and placed within the wider fragmented geopolitical setting and international context of sanctions imposed by other governments and entities.
