Objective

This seminar focuses on how to protect women and other victims of violence in the justice system. It addresses new policies like the proposal for the revision of the Victims’ Rights Directive as well as the existing EU legal framework (Gender-Based Violence Directive, Digital Services Act) and relevant case law. 
The theory-based presentations will be complemented by practical sessions and workshops on victim support during the justice process, including sessions on secondary victimisation and trauma-informed lawyering.
