Fighting fraud in the CAP: innovation and use cases mapping

Published an hour ago

This event represents the fourth session in the GINGER project’s programme of international events, which follows a progressive thematic pathway exploring different dimensions of fraud prevention and control in the management of EU agricultural funds. For more information on the GINGER project, →eucrim 1/2026, 34.

Building on the insights gathered during previous sessions, the event shifts the focus from risk identification and detection towards operational responses, implementation and transferability, with particular attention to the interoperability of fraud detection systems across Member States, the integration of predictive tools into institutional governance processes, and concrete cases and country-specific experiences. Through contributions from relevant stakeholders and practitioners, the event will examine existing practices, implementation challenges and unresolved gaps, fostering the exchange of knowledge and experiences across national contexts.

The discussions will generate structured evidence and practical insights to inform the development and validation of approaches that can be adapted to different institutional settings, providing key building blocks for subsequent GINGER activities and supporting more effective, coordinated and data-driven approaches to fraud prevention and control in the management of EU agricultural funds.
