The Establishment of the EPPO: Simple Evolution or Revolution within the European Area of Criminal Justice

Objectives

The CESICE (Centre d'Etudes sur la Sécurité Internationale et les Coopérations Européennes) attached to the Grenoble Alpes University in collaboration with the Centre for European Law from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) organise a conference on the establishment of the EPPO. Two years after the adoption of the the Regulation establishing the European Public Prosecutor’s Office and in the wake of the inauguration of this new body of the European Union, the aim of the event is to reflect on the measures taken for its implementation and on the challenges of this unprecedented legal creation.

The event will bring together participants representing the relevant national authorities of the participating Member States of the European Union, the European Commission, Eurojust, OLAF, Europol and academic circles.
