The focus of this year's summer school of the European Criminal Law Network centers on the procedural safeguards across the EU and their adequacy in the digital age.
Key topics:
- Harmonisation of EU procedural rights and its interaction with other legal areas and jurisdictions;
- Adequacy of EU procedural safeguards in the digital age;
- Procedural guarantees in cross-border investigations and the exchange of evidence;
- Responsibility of EU agencies and bodies with regard to the rights of defence;
- The future of procedural rights within the European Union.
