ECLAN Summer School 2026 The EU Area of Criminal Justice

The focus of this year's summer school of the European Criminal Law Network centers on the procedural safeguards across the EU and their adequacy in the digital age.

Key topics:

• Harmonisation of EU procedural rights and its interaction with other legal areas and jurisdictions;
• Adequacy of EU procedural safeguards in the digital age;
• Procedural guarantees in cross-border investigations and the exchange of evidence;
• Responsibility of EU agencies and bodies with regard to the rights of defence;
• The future of procedural rights within the European Union.
