The 2022 ECBA Autumn Conference is entitled “The role of the defence and the transformation of the European judicial area”. It includes hot topics such as:
- The Maltese Criminal Jurisdiction and the role of defence
- The new binding instrument devised by the Council of Europe on the protection of lawyers
- The protection of EU financial Interests and the role of EPPO
- The recent ECBA Statement on mutual recognition of extradition decisions
- Judicial cooperation and procedural safeguards
- The state of play of the EU-UK judicial cooperation
The Conference is supported by the Malta's Chamber of Advocates. It will open with the annual ECBA Scott Crosby Human Rights Award and end with the General Assembly.
