Artificial Intelligence Basics for Criminal Legal Professionals
How AI is Reshaping the Criminal Justice Systems

Published 2 weeks, 6 days ago

Objective

These past few years have seen the influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) literally (as well as a virtually) explode in every aspect of modern life. Given the conservative nature of the legal profession, the fact that most senior legal professionals were trained in a pre-technological context, and the slow speed with which governments tend to react responsibly to innovation, there is a knowledge gap that urgently needs to be filled.
The main objective of this seminar is to build awareness in criminal justice professionals by exploring the consequences and implications of AI as an integral component of the information society, and its impact on criminal justice.
Participants will acquire accurate perceptions of the current status and different shades of AI, and how they can manifest in a criminal context. This increased awareness will allow them to identify any AI components involved in their work and to adapt their strategies accordingly.
