The 26th edition of the Deutscher Präventionstag ("German Prevention Day") will focus on the debate on the central role of prevention, especially in times of crisis, and on the importance of education and lifelong learning in this process. Expert reports and video statements on the main topic will be prepared and published in the run-up to the congress. The congress is organised as two-day event. It is planned as a "hybrid concept" with flexible variance of presence and online formats. The organisers will implement face-to-face events in accordance with the current COVID-19 situation. In addition, there will always be an attractive online offer for all interested parties.

An exlusive offer for participants will be the "DPT Foyer". It is open from 15 February until 31 September 2021 and includes detailed information on all programme items of the congress. Exhibiting institutions as well as speakers and lecture abstracts are presented. Participants will have online access to all documentation and recordings made during the congress. During the event day, participants will have live access to the presentations. The final programme of the DPT will be made public in the course of March 2021.

The congress will be held in German. It is a addressed to all those responsible for prevention from authorities, municipalities, cities and districts, health care, child and youth welfare, the judiciary, churches, media, politics, police, prevention committees, projects, schools, sports, associations and federations, science and all other interested parties.
