20 Years of eucrim – News, Stories, and Insights Throughout 2026

In 2006, the first issue of eucrim was published by the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Law in cooperation with the German Association for European Criminal Law (Vereinigung für Europäisches Strafrecht). 2026 marks the 20th anniversary of eucrim, a milestone in the publication project! For two decades, the journal has been raising awareness about ongoing developments in European "criministrative" law and facilitating the exchange of ideas and collaboration among practitioners, academics, and policymakers who shape the future of European justice. In both print and online formats, eucrim is now published by the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Crime, Security and Law. The project has been co-financed by the Hercule Programme and its successor, the Union Anti-Fraud Programme (UAFP), managed by the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF). This section of the website is dedicated to the anniversary year and will feature interesting information about the journal throughout the year.
